Frank Schneider

Frank W. Schneider has over 40 years of experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries, having served on the boards and executive management teams of both privately held and publicly traded companies.

Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager of MKS Instruments Inc. and continued to provide consulting services to the company after his retirement. Before that, he held the roles of President and CEO at both ION Systems Inc., a privately held manufacturer of electrostatic management systems and GHz Technology Inc., a privately held manufacturer of RF power transistors. He was also the COO of the RF Products Group at Advanced Power Technology (Nasdaq, APTI) before its merger with Microsemi Inc.

Other roles include being a member of the technical advisory board of Neomagic Inc., a display controller chip company, and serving on the Board of Directors of Micrel, Inc., GigPeak, Inc., and GMT Microelectronics. He began his career at Corning Electronics and subsequently moved to Philips Semiconductor, where he held many senior positions during his tenure. He also was a Group Vice President at Sharp Electronics.
